Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 1. A large group of students and parents gathered this evening.
2. Grand March will take place at JMB. Details relating to a floor cover are in the process of being determined. How large, what material are two key questions. Additionally, we are unsure if we will purchase a floor or rent a floor to cover the gym floor. Waiting for responses from the gym department and prices from Mrs. Carpenter.
3. There was some discussion again about charging for Grand March. We decided to wait on this decision until we determine the cost of purchasing/renting the floor.
4. The large group of students have decided that they would like to pursue an After Prom Party. Three of the students: Katelyn DeFiore, Princi Kovacs and Niki Pellegrino will circulate petitions asking seniors to commit to attending this party. The petitions are to be returned to Mrs. Birch by Tuesday, Feb. 8. If there are 100 signatures, we will revive work on this issue. The cost of prom tickets may need to be adjusted if we include the after prom party (probably by $5.00, making the ticket $25.00 per couple).
5. Leah Carpenter was unable to attend the meeting last night, so there are no details concerning the class colors, flower, etc. We believe that the class chose "I gotta a feeling" as the class song. Hopefully she will report at the next meeting.
6. The Budget was presented by Mrs. Titus. We are still in need of some financial details. We will examine the budget again at the next meeting.
7. The junior class has set the date of Junior-Senior Banquet. It will be held on Saturday, April 9. Niki Pellegrino and Makenzie Vizard have volunteered to make the slide show. They will be posting a facebook message so that class members can upload their pictures to the class facebook page.
8. Mrs. Titus presented details on the proposed class trip for Saturday, May 14. The students will be voting today for their choices. Princi Kovacs, Makenzie Vizard and Casey Flanagan will have ballots at the Spirit Cart during lunch shifts. See attached document.
